Free PDF Download: Vietnamese/English Parenting Guide 1994

In the 1990s, headlines such as "Viet gangs take over heroin trade" were commonplace in Australian national newspapers. My father, Mr. Vinh Van Le, was a prominent social worker here in the Vietnamese Community here in Adelaide. During this time, my father volunteered to research and author a parenting guide titled "Every child is the same as a little baby". Vinh received a small government grant to provide this for free as a means to combat this problem within our own community, beginning with the family itself.

My parents in 1980 after arriving to Australia as refugees with my cousin (now paediatrician based in Melbourne) and my older brother (radiation oncologist based in Adelaide).

No doubt, in writing this guide (written in both Vietnamese and English languages), it had a major impact on the way my father parented me and my childhood experience in Australia. He applied the knowledge in this book for my siblings and me. Throughout my life, I always was curious about the contents of this guide but never fully appreciated this until later in life as a mental health specialist and my interest in working with families to combat not substance addictions, but internet addictions.
